TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to the transmission of "Ideas Worth Spreading." It started 25 years ago in California as a four-day conference bringing together leaders from the technology, entertainment and design industries. Since then, TED has become a global set of conferences where some of the world's leading visionaries, creators and actors are invited to share what they are most passionate about in 18 minutes or less. Most TEDx talks are viewed by at least 100,000 people, and some by several million. In aggregate, TEDTalks have been viewed more than 100 million times worldwide.

TEDxEmory is a licensed TED event. Last year, our event was a rousing success, with 550+ attendees and 500+ people watching TEDxEmory online via the webcast. It also drew extensive coverage from media such as The Emory ReportThe Emory Wheel the Emory Alumni Magazine EEAvesdropping and the home page of CNN.com.

This year, TEDxEmory will be held at Emory University on April 20, 2013 in the Woodruff Health Sciences Administration Building (WHSCAB). Lunch and snacks will be provided. Public parking will be at Michael Street Deck and the entrance can be found at 550 Houston Mill Road. A select reception and dinner will also be hosted for invited attendees.
