Unlocking Imagination In Service of Health & Medicine

Live from San Francisco and Washington, D.C., simulcast at live events in Austin, and online and on-demand September 10 – 12, 2014.

Join the world’s most original minds in healthcare for TEDMED as they probe new possibilities for medicine and health. Poised at the intersection of art and science, more than 80 speakers — drawn from medicine, science, ethics, the arts, technology, competitive athletics and journalism — cross pollinate in nine provocative sessions.

In a spirit of collaboration and information sharing, TEDxAustin, Texas Medical Association, University of Texas at Austin, LIVESTRONG and Seton Healthcare Family are pleased to present HD simulcasts of TEDMED at live events throughout Austin. We invite you, our most highly engaged members, to register and attend for FREE. Event hosts have designed interactions to generate fresh insights and unexpected collaborations within and beyond Austin. Collectively, we believe that the future of health and medicine will be shaped by vital input from a broad range of perspectives.

Objectives: Upon completion of this program attendees should be able to: 1) identify and appropriately address risky behaviors in your patients; 2) discuss current opportunities in and around Texas that promote healthy behavior; and 3) discuss how management of your top ten most costly patients can affect your bottom line. 

Accreditation Statement: The Texas Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation Statement: The Texas Medical Association designates this live event for a maximum of 3.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
