Event Details

Tech@NYU is excited to present GameDays!

Joseph Alminawi of OMGPOP and twitch.tv will be the speaker for the first Tech@NYU GameDays event! GameDays will consist of panels on a bi-weekly basis, following themes ranging from technical game mechanics and the computational problems involved, to conceptual design involving narrative, music, and art.

Our intro-level panels will empower students to create games without prior coding experience, using software such as Steam's GameMaker Studios and Unity 3D.

Doors open at 5:30 PM, and you're welcome to hang out before and after the event.

Tech@NYU

We are growing the student technology culture in NYC.

To get there, we need students continually building, to learn and internalize the nuances of great product and business. Tech@NYU is the sandbox that students need: a place to experiment, a forum for recognition, a community for discussion and sharing, and a stage for inspiration.

We also engage regularly with a number of NYC entrepreneurs who serve as mentors to students. Only a couple years old, Tech@NYU is one of the most diverse, most forward-moving student organizations in NYC.
