Join us for the Technovation February Hack Day! Come meet fellow participants and familiarize yourself with App Inventor! This is a fantastic opportunity to work through tutorials, ask questions about the App Inventor platform, and kick off the 2014 Technovation season. Please bring your laptops and Android phones (if you have one) for this collaborative experience! (No prior coding experience is necessary!)
Lunch will be provided. Space is limited to ~50 participants, and priority will be given to female students and mentors.
Questions can be directed to Judy Ho (firstname.lastname@example.org).
When & Where
Technovation is a technology entrepreneurship course for middle school, high school, and university age female students. We match teams of up to 5 girls with a female mentor from the tech industry to complete a 12-week program in which they learn to research, design, code, and pitch a mobile app to real investors. Teams use MIT's App Inventor to code their apps.
So far, over 1,300 girls in 19 countries have already taken part, and the program is completely free for all participants.
