David Petrillo is the inventor and co-founder of Coffee Joulies, a coffee temperature regulator that they raised $300k on Kickstarter (3rd largest at it's date), won $100k at the 2011 Shopify Build-a-Business competition and elicited a $150k deal on ABC's Shark Tank. Dave will explain the lessons he's learned from these experiences and best practices to grow a start-up without using traditional angel or VC methods.
Neil Patel has consistently increased traffic and, most importantly, revenue for 20 major brands and hundreds of other businesses. He's also co-founded KISSmetrics, a customer analytics platform and blogs at Quick Sprout. He's known for teaching businesses how to double and triple their traffic in 30 days. Neil will give a talk on "400,000 visits/mo and Growing: How to Create a Company Blog that Doesn't Suck."
Emerson Spartz is the leading expert on internet virality. He founded the #1 Harry Potter site, MuggleNet, at age 12 and is now the CEO and Founder of Spartz Media (GivesMeHope, OMG Facts, etc). Emerson will talk about the science of going viral, as well as, share 19 tips, tricks, and hacks to make your product more viral.
Aaron Ginn has lead growth from early stage startups to large corporations. Aaron got his start in growth in consumer healthcare with Simplee where he led the consumer user acquisition strategy. Recently, he was the first growth hacker to be involved in US Presidential politics with the growth team at Mitt Romney for America. Now, Aaron is the Head of Growth at StumbleUpon. Sean Johnson is a partner at Digital Intent and helps companies build and grow new digital businesses. He is an adjunct professor at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management teaching digital marketing and runs the Chicago Growth Hacker Meetup. He also blogs at Sean-Johnson.com. Sean will assist emcee and manage Q&A sessions for the speakers.
