Tech Vocabulary for Non-Programmers
Wednesday May 1, 2013 from 7 pm - 8:30 pm
Scott Friedman, Chief Technologist for UCLA
This class is for non-techies who want to hire developers or have to interact with technologists on a day-to-day basis. Students will learn basic tech terminology so that they no longer feel at a disadvantage when speaking with developers. The instructor will provide students with a clear understanding of the concepts that make today's technology. Students will also be given an opportunity to ask the instructor about specific concepts they are struggling with.
About the Instructors:
Scott Friedman is UCLA's Chief Technologist for High Performance Research Computing, Networking and Storage. Scott has over 20 years of experience in technology and does consulting on the side to help explain complicated technology to very smart non-programmers.
