The Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve or GTM Research Reserve is continuing its teacher professional development workshop for 2nd - 12th grade teachers, this includes home school instructors as well. Please limit 6 teachers per educational institution and/or co-op.
This workshop is designed for teachers that teach 2nd - 12th grade classes. Teachers will become familiar with the many different field-based, hands-on opportunities the GTM Research Reserve educational staff can provide for their school groups. Teachers will also be trained on in-class pre- and post- lessons that will help facilitate student learning.
June 13th 9am - 4pm
At the GTM Research Reserve. In class training will occur in one of our classrooms and outdoor training will take place on our extensive trail systems and/or pristine beach locations.
TEACHERS WILL RECEIVE (included in price)
- 8 In-Service Points;
- Guided Kayak Tour (originally $55/person)
- Outdoor field training;
- In-class training;
- Resources and materials to utilize in the class; and,
