Teacher Librarian Day 2013:
The Teaching with Primary Sources Western Regional Center, in conjunction with History Colorado, is offering our annual one-day workshop for .5 credits through Adams State on March 1, 2013.
We are again adopting the format used by the world-renowned TED conference (talks from TED may be viewed for free at TED.com). The format will consist of a suite of short, carefully prepared talks, demonstrations, and performances on a varying range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration, and wonder – and to provoke conversations that matter.
The day will be focused on engaging students in the classroom using primary sources with an emphasis on inquiry, assessment, standards, and technology. Be ready for some surprising talks prompting you to find common ground among seemingly unrelated ideas, which just so happens to be the very power of primary sources! Focus will also be given to demonstrating the seamless integration of the new Common Core State Standards with primary sources and technology.
Sub reimbursement available to the first 100 registrants!
