Join Education Pioneers and Teach for America for a screening of TEACHED Vol. I, a trilogy of short documentary films about education in America followed by an engaging conversation with leading Bay Area educators.
In this special screening and discussion, we will consider the education reform landscape in California today, especially state and city-level efforts to transform the profession of teaching into one that is more professional, accountable and attractive. We will also learn about the recent wins at the state-level to increase and equalize funding, and hear from charter school leaders about the future of California's charter school movement.
Special guests include: TEACHED Vol. I Producer/Director Kelly Amis, Students Matter Legal Team Member Joshua Lipshutz, Summit Public Schools Founder/CEO Diane Tavenner, and SFUSD Principal and TFA Corps Member, Bill Kappenhagen.
