DUST STORM

Dust Storm tells a story of the Japanese internment during WWII through the art of Chiura Obata, a US citizen and artist of international renown who was imprisoned at the Topaz, Utah camp. It is a coming of age story as seen through the eyes of Seiji, a fictional and rebellious Japanese American youth who journeys from the shock of forced relocation and imprisonment, to violent anger and assault, and final emergence from a confused guilt to redemptive insight and hope.
