Welcome to Spain….Grab a Fork!
Join us for the Inaugural Tapeña Tapas Hour – A Social Meetup for wine and food lovers interested in exploring savory Spanish culture and unique wine varietals.
Those ‘in the know’ will enjoy complimentary Spanish tapas, paired with Tapeña wine flights, at the vibrant Mission restaurant Picaro, San Francisco’s original tapas bar.
The tapas are on Tapeña and guests receive a special discount on Tapeña wines by the bottle and by the glass! Registered attendees will be entered into a drawing for one of five copies of Anya von Bremzen’s “The New Spanish Table” cookbook, and a gift certificate for dinner at Picaro. You must register here, and attend, to be eligible.
Spanish music will set the mood! All Tapeña wines are
crafted from varietals native to Spain; Garnacha (also known as Grenache),
Tempranillo, Verdejo, and a Rosé of Garnacha and Monastrell.
What better way to invigorate the week than with great food and wine, shared amongst your “peña” (group of close friends)? Register now, space is limited!

When & Where
Tapeña (tah-PAY-nyah) is the ideal complement for an evening of food and conversation among close friends. In Spain, going for tapas (TAH-paz) is the American equivalent of bar hopping with an epicurean twist. At every taberna, tapas (small plates) are served communal style—each person is armed with a glass of wine and a fork. peña (PAY-nyah) is slang for a group of close friends.
