Here’s what students have to say about Emily’s Tango Jump Start:
After attending Tango Jump Start, I am so excited to go out social dancing. I feel like I have the tools I need to move around the floor and have a great time. The workshop was a great balance of content and technique, and tango now feels accessible to me.
Emily is very knowledgeable and is able to convey both the leader and follower's steps. She guides you through each sequence, and allows you to connect with your dance partner naturally. I would take another one of her classes in a heartbeat!
The workshop will be taught by Emily Webb and Conrad McGreal; and will be held at the Curtis Hotel, the official venue for the Denver Fusion Exchange.

Emily Webb began her love affair with partner dancing in 1996. Starting out as a Lindy Hopper, through the years she transitioned through Tango, Salsa, Blues, and Fusion dance. Today, Emily teaches Tango and Fusion dancing across the U.S.; and she is the co-creator of Mission Fusion and Tango Atipico, monthly San Francisco dances.
As a young man, Conrad took his first dance steps in the kitchen under the tutelage of his mother. In his homecountry of Iceland, he competed in youth ballroom dance competitions, eventually claiming a national title in International Standard. Still in his teens and enticed by the lure of a good pas de deux, he enrolled in Listdansskoli Islands, the Icelandic National Ballet Academy. For three long years he stood diligently by the bar practicing plies, port de bras, and fouettes. Eventually, he made his way to the Iceland Academy of the Arts where he rolled around on the floor, wrote didgeridoo music and got arrested creating invisible theater; thereby completing a degree in Contemporary Dance.
In 2007 he moved to San Francisco to teach, study and perform dance. It didn't take long for him to discover tango, which has been his mainstay ever since. In 2010 his moonlight career as a helicopter pilot brought him to Seattle where he now resides.
