SharePoint Saturday Tampa Registrants,
I want to thank you all again for making our last two events so popular. The reason I writing you now is to announce the formation of a User Group for the Tampa area. Some of the feedback from SharePoint Saturday was for more Power User and Business Analyst sessions. One of the goals of this group is to address not just all things SharePoint but how other Office and Microsoft based solutions are executed and published via SharePoint. We hope to draw nationally know experts to speak here in Tampa but we also want to create spaces to develop and show off our area's expertise, so start thinking about those presentations you have been thinking about doing.
Our first formal meeting will be October 12th and we will again be guests at Microsoft Offices in Tampa. I'll send the agenda out as soon as I have our speaker 100% confirmed.
For non-Tampa folks
I realized that some of you are not local but apart from the announcement of the Tampa group I can also announce that there are going to be another SharePoint Saturday in South Florida starting on December 4th in South Florida at Nova University in Ft Lauderdale, FL.
Right now we have calls for speakers and sponsors out so if you are interested in either please let either I or Chuck Hughes know via the site. If you can't make that one we are also initial phases of coordinating SharePoint Saturdays with other user groups for Orlando, NASA, and of course SPS Tampa will be back for sure in 2011. I will send out those announcements as they come in.
If you need or want more info on other user groups here are the links to those:

If you prefer to get only Florida SharePoint community mails, let me know so I can get you the announcements you want.
On that note, there is a Florida SharePoint Community Central Portal in the works that we hope to be the source for all news for our community endeavors.
If you are unable to make the Tampa meeting we hope to see you at SharePoint Saturdays coming throughout Florida.
If you have any questions please contact me.
