Where: The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, One Crisis Center Plaza, Tampa, FL 33613
Everyone is welcome to attend and participate, all perspectives are valued. This meeting will follow up on ideas from participants from the January meeting about steps for planning future activities. The purpose of this meeting is to share ideas about how we can make the best use of our time and resources to get people interested in suicide prevention and raise awareness in local communities. Together we can share information about events where information can be distributed and discuss how we can get this issue on the minds of community members throughout the year.
Discussion items will include:
Gathering information for a calendar of community events so we can help each other spread the word about and participate in events during the year.
How we can participate in other "cause" events and get information out.
Methods of communicating suicide issues, event announcements, and resiliency ideas throughout the year: email, websites, social media, etc.
Ideas for creating a positive messages about safety, resiliency, and celebrating life.
What could be offered or provided at other events (that do not focus only on suicide), that would be of interest to community members.
Review of materials and on-line resources participants bring to the meeting.
Planning for effective use of our resources and ideas for encouraging participation in the Task Force.
Planning for measuring outcomes and success.
Other ideas you want to discuss about suicide awareness and prevention efforts.
