Email is awesome, when it's not sucking you down the virtual rabbit hole, and leaving you wondering why you ever started an email account. This MadTech meet will explore various ways you can use Gmail, Google's free email service, to tame your email and get things done. Some of the tips and tricks learned here are transferrable to other applications such as Outlook or Apple's Mail, but will be focusing on Gmail specifically.
Come meet other nonprofit staff and volunteers, community members and more. Pizza and soda will be provided.
MadTech is the Madison's Nonprofit Technology Group—a user group with monthly learning and networking opportunities. We offer evening (Wednesday), morning (Tuesday or Thursday), and lunchtime (Monday) educational opportunities for you and your nonprofit. Unless otherwise specified, most events are free.
When & Where
MadTech is Madison's Nonprofit & Community Technology Group. A community education platform for nonprofits and social good advocates interested in using technology better.
MadTech Meets are our new offerings, as of 2016. These dates are lunch time offerings so that they can be incorporated into your workday. Sessions will run for one hour from 12Noon to 1PM, typically on either the 3rd or 4th Monday of the month. The onsite trainer will be available for follow-up questions until 1:30PM. Both face-to-face and online sessions will be hosted. There is a charge for online sessions.
A number of sessions this year, 2016, have both basic and intermediate offerings. These sessions are generally held on both Monday and Wednesday. We highly recommend attending both sessions to get the most of the training.
Madison Nonprofit Day and MadTech are projects of Nonprofit Tech, a 501(c)3, technology service provider dedicated to improving the efficacy of the nonprofit sector.
