Talkies is a show for standups to work outside their regular routines; videos, powerpoint presentations, and characters are encouraged. Started by George Chen and Anna Seregina at the art space ATA, the show has moved to the Cinecave with the extended crew of Scott Vermeire, Will Scovill, and Land Smith. We've been part of Sketchfest, WixLounge, and have done the show at Echoes Under Sunset in LA and the Berkeley Art Museum!

Why is this show different from all other shows?
Okay, it's not that different from other shows, it's standup comics stretching outside the bounds of conventional standup. That could mean anything the comics take it to mean, and many choose to take advantage of the video projector and powerpoint formats. But in the end it's a fun time that takes some risks.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Yes, the show is 21+ over
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you should be able to be checked in via eventbrite at the counter just using your name.
