Greg and Alice met Daniel O'Doherty at a meeting of the Hawaiian Chocolate and Cacao Association (HCCA) in February. Dan got his Master's in Botany from the University of Hawaii. Cacao is both his passion and his profession. He even ferments beans in small quantities in his garage in Oahu, with alarms to let him know when the beans need to be turned. We're thrilled to bring Dan out to San Francisco to share his knowledge with anyone interested. He'll hold a free talk about growing and harvesting cacao in Hawaii on Friday, May 3rd in our cafe. Anyone is welcome to come and listen, but please RSVP to this event so we can have an accurate guest list. It should be a great night!
