Please join us on Wednesday, February 22 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm and participate in the launch of "Talk with a Teen Girl Today" campaign. The overarching goal is to raise awareness of both the issues confronting Montgomery County girls and the critical roles that the community can play in working with teen girls to address those issues. A panel comprised of teen girls will share the findfings from a survey developed by fellow Crittenton program participants (SNEAKERS and PEARLS).
When & Where
Crittenton Services of Greater Washington
Crittenton Services of Greater Washington (CSGW) is a positive youth development organization with a singular focus--strengthening the ability of teen women to identify, embrace, and achieve their academic, career, and life goals. Drawing on a 124-year history of working with teen women, CSGW delivers comprehensive, science-based programs that have produced measurable results in the lives of the teen women we serve.
Since 1983, CSGW has served more than 10,000 young women living in Greater Washington, DC through voluntary, school-based programs that nurture the strengths and build the assets of girls growing up in the high-risk environments that frequently lead to serious problems. Through weekly meetings during the school day and a range of out-of-school activities, Crittenton’s caring, highly experienced youth development specialists deliver a structured curriculum, become trusted advisors for the girls, and promote bonding between the girls and between the girls and their families.
