Description

Keeping young talent in NH is of primary importance (as illustrated in this great report from the NH Center for Public Policy Studies, “From Tailwind to Headwind: New Hampshire's Shifting Economic Trends").

One way young people often find jobs is through internships.

OUR CHALLENGE: Currently, there is no interface for helping students find internships and no standard “rules” for how an internship should be conducted.

OUR SOLUTION: Develop a “Statement of Principles” incorporating best practices from both businesses and higher education for internships in NH, alleviating frustrations and dissatisfaction from all perspectives; the students, higher education institutions and NH businesses. Once developed, Stay Work Play will present these “principles” to companies and colleges/universities throughout NH to adopt a more collaborative and consistent approach to internships.

OUR GOAL: An increase in placement and quality of internships and more successful talent retention for NH.

EXCITING, RIGHT? We are asking you to participate in this discussion by being a part of Stay Work Play’s Talent & Internship Summit!
