When & Where
Take Two Film Festival
Following a smashing post Hurricane Sandy recovery in 2013, Take Two returned this year with an exciting roster of films showcasing a feisty new generation of artists exploring the frontiers of artistry and technology. These include International films from Israel, Denmark, China, India and many other countries.
We also have a special relationship with a number of art and film schools in New York City, which has given us access to many generations of talented and creative filmmakers.
Our venue, Anthology Film Archives, is a pioneering film museum in a historic building that’s been renovated to include a 187-seat theater with a superb sound system. There will be two evening shows each day. Filmmakers from around the world will be attending the festival and Q&A sessions moderated by prominent film figures.
Our award, the Manny, a disc shaped replica of a NYC manhole cover is awarded to the best filmmakers and takes the lid off of independent film.
Take Two is a product of Salon Ciel, an art gallery that was founded eight years ago by Asher Bar Lev & David Rheingold. In April of 2013 Take Two staged its second film festival. Its 2nd annual festival was noted by the New York Times, Washington Square News, Westview and many other papers.
Members of the press are given free admission after sending RSVP to Bobby.TakeTwo@Gmail.com. We look forward to having you at Take Two. Our film program will soon appear on TakeTwoFilmFestival.com, save the date!
