        Are you ready for killer mutant chickens and Kung Fu fighting chefs?  A devout Christian student who becomes an advocate of sex education? A couple of Texas political neophytes convicted of terrorism? A fishermen riven by guilt, a guy on a date from hell, a Zimbabwean village of sculptors?

        Fifty-four wildly creative and entertaining films will fill the screen of the historic Theatre 80 St. Marks Place the first weekend in November. Ranging from short shorts to full length features and documentary works, they represent a diverse group of filmmakers from 12 countries.

Bobby Andishmand, Producer Take Two Film Festival

Bobby Babak Andishmand is a producer and documentary filmmaker. He fled with his mother from Iran to Amsterdam at the age of 3 to escape the persecution of non-muslims. He graduated from the Rietveld International School of Art & Design in Amsterdam with a Bachelors degree of Fine Arts and pursued his MA in Literature at Leiden University. Bobby lives in New York City.

He is the producer of New York's annual Take Two Film Festival, a Salon Ciel affiliate, which showcases a feisty new generation of filmmakers and actors exploring frontiers of artistry and technology.
He is a board member of the selection committee at the Tompkins Square Park Film Festival and serves on the journal board of editors at theSociety of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers (SMPTE). Bobby is also an active voting member of the American Film Institute (AFI),National Association of Independent Artists (NAIA), the Organization of Independent Artists (OIA) and the New York Film & Video Council (NYFVC). In addition he serves as a board member for American friends of Herzog hospital Jerusalem and is the chairman of youth & media outreach at the United Nations Committee for Peace & Sustainable Development. He is also a Co-Chair of the Outreach & Media Sub-Committee at the Co NGO Committee on Sustainable Development which holds a Conference of NGO's in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations.

Bobby's documentary films explore the lives of offbeat, adventurous characters, many of them artists, in cities around the world. He expertly guides his subjects through situations that reveal their innermost stories. These award-winning and internationally acclaimed films have been lauded in film festivals and art shows around the world and featured in the New York Times and other media.

Bobby Andishmand has given several filmmaking workshops to children in Canarsie, Brooklyn and is a volunteer art teacher with Free Arts NYC in East Harlem and the East Village, providing underserved children in New York a unique combination of educational art and mentoring programs that help them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential.
