Crystal Lake Sam's Club Parking Lot
This is a non-competitive one mile walk to raise awareness for women and children who experience or witness domestic violence.
Experience the burden of domestic violence by filling your backpack or goodie bag with "weight" (water bottles) and turning them in throughout the walk to represent the healing our clients experience at Turning Point.
The walk begins and ends in the Sam's Club parking lot and will travel around the Crystal Point Center (Best Buy and Sports Authority).
The walk will begin approximately 9:00am.
**Please register by August 2 to guarantee a t-shirt.**

$15/Youth-17 years & younger
Family of Four - $75, each additional child $10.
Friday - all day at the Take a Stand for Turning Point Radiothon in the Crystal Lake Sam's Club parking lot.
Walk day registration will be available at the Take a Stand for Turning Point Radiothon in the Crystal Lake Sam's Club parking lot also.
$20/Youth-17 years & younger
Family of Four - $100, each additional child $10.
(T-shirts for people who register after August 2nd will be available only while supplies lasts.)
Please park in the parking lot behind Sam's Club gas station. If that lot is full, you may park at Sport's Authority and Fresh Market behind the front set of islands.
T-shirt Pick Up
All participants who register by August 2nd will receive a Take a Hike for Turning Point t-shirt. Be sure to specify a size when you register. You can pick up your shirt on Friday or Saturday at the Take A Stand for Turning Point Radiothon at the Sam's Club in Crystal Lake. The first 200 participants will also recieve a goodie bag. After the race, there will be family fun games and local group performances.

Turning Point has spent thirty-two years living its mission to confront violence against women and children in McHenry County. Turning Point is the only comprehensive domestic violence agency and secure shelter providing services for victims. As a 501(c)3 non-profit agency, Turning Point provides victims of domestic violence with emergency shelter, case-management, emergency food and clothing, individual and group counseling, mental health therapy, medical and legal assistance, as needed. Turning Point offers spanish bilingual / bicultural staff in all services. We serve all of McHenry County in our ongoing effort to establish safe environments for families and to help diminish the devastating effects of domestic violence. In 2012, we served over 1,754 women, children and men living with domestic violence and responded to 5,228 crisis calls. Domestic violence knows no boundaries so Turning Point’s programs and services reach all socio-economic, educational, and cultural populations.
