About the instructors:


Linda Coffey--Coffey has been with NCAT since August 2000 as a Sustainable Agriculture Specialist focusing on small ruminants.  Coffey has extensive experience in sustainable livestock production and education and beginning farmer and educator training.  Coffey has a M.S. in Animal Science. She and her family own and operate Maple Gorge Farm, in Northwest Arkansas, where they raise sheep, goats, hogs, chickens, and calves.


Terrell Spencer-  Terrell "Spence" Spencer is an NCAT sustainable livestock specialist whose focus is on sustainably raised poultry. Spencer is an Army combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and much of his work at NCAT is with veterans who are farming or are interested in starting a farm.  Spencer has a B.S. in Soil and Water Science, and did his M.S. work on stream ecology. Spencer and his family own and operate a pastured poultry farm in the Boston Mountains of Northwestern Arkansas.
