Event Details

Hillsborough County Extension is offering a seven (7) week workshop series on Sustainable Landscape Design Basics.  Classes will be held at the Extension office on Tuesdays starting January 10, 2012 running through February 21, 2012.  The class is from 10 am to noon on Tuesday each week. 

Course content includes:  Florida-Friendly LandscapingTM, landscape design principles and themes, sustainable landscape materials, characteristics and composition of plant materials, use and importance of color, drawing a planting plan, and maintenance.

The fee is $25.00 per household for the entire series which covers the cost of materials.  Please bring your own water and snacks.  Workshop series is limited to 25 people.
