Coast Bellevue Hotel
625 116th Avenue NE, Bellevue, Washington
NBIS and APICS Puget Sound are pleased to invite you to this dinner program focusing on sustainability management as a valuable extension of lean, quality & six-sigma practices.
Learn how you can leverage the needs, requirements and opportunities of sustainability while building on practices already in place. With sustainability, go beyond maximizing profitability, efficiency, and productivity, to provide your organization with environmental, social & economic benefits, referred to as the “triple bottom line”.
Featured speaker, Tom Melcher is the founder and president of dmStrategists (dmS) based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Over the past twenty years, Tom has developed and provided business performance solutions for quality management, lean practices, diversity and sustainability with companies including Steelcase, Westinghouse Electric, Rochester Products of General Motors, and Amway. His recent focus is on the emerging need for sustainable business practices integrated with process improvement techniques. The result is a web enabled "software as a service" management product for mining and integrating required data, setting goals and achieving and documenting results.
Tom has served on the Malcolm Baldrige Board for the US Department of Commerce and as a lead auditor for ISO 9000. He has achieved numerous credentials in the field of Quality Management, and worked with professional associations including chapters of APICS, ASQ, and ISM in West Michigan.
