Having a new baby is typically a wonderful mix of fun and frustration, confidence and confusion; you feel both overjoyed and overwhelmed, and almost all of your energy and efforts are focused on making sure your baby thrives. Parents probably can't be expected to thrive in those early months, but they do need to survive. This two-and-a-half-hour class shows you how.
Survival Parenting is a relaxed, entertaining look at life with a newborn. You'll learn how to make it through those early days and weeks: recoverig from childbirth; making physical and emotional adjustments; scrounging for sleep (theirs and yours); dealing with visitors; facing the new reality of life with baby; keeping your relationship strong; and much, much more!
Classes are small and personal, so there’s plenty of time for questions, discussion, and individual instruction time.
Registration is $20 per individual, $30 per couple.

Praise for Kathy's Classes
"Immensely instructive, insightful, helpful, and fun!" "This class was the single most important thing we did as a couple to prepare." "I cannot recommend Kathy's class more highly to anyone in the Pittsburgh area. We found everything in Kathy's class -- the resources to help us through the first few days of breastfeeding, our pediatrician, and most importantly, time with each other to discuss the enormous change in our lives that was about to happen. In the end, it wasn't the books we read, but the conversations in Kathy's class that mattered for birth and thereafter." "Your classes were such a gift. You gave us evidence-based information, skills for labor (and ultimately life), and most of all, confidence to know that we can handle whatever came our way." "This class was educational and fun. Kathy is an excellent instructor. We enjoyed our time with her." "Kathy's perspective is enlightening and very reassuring and empowering."
