The Surf City Civil War - Presents 4 person "Fire Team" Event

“Howitzer”

2 men & 2 Women

The Clean Ladder – 4 min AMTAP: As Much Tonnage As Possible

  • Barbells will start at 35 lbs & end at 335 lbs
  • Each athlete will have 1 min to get as much tonnage as possible to accumulate by all 4 team mates at the end.
  • All team members are required to participate. The goal here is the highest total weight lifted by all members (tonnage).
  • One athlete going through the ladder at a time.
  • Every successful lift counts toward the total tonnage; maximum one attempt per barbell.
  • Athletes may only move forward and may skip any barbell.
  • Alternate between male and female athletes.
  • The athlete may not repeat the same barbell after a successful attempt at that barbell.
  • After a failed attempt or no rep, the athlete can only move up the ladder and not attempt the same bar unless they start back at the beginning of the ladder.

 

Scoring:

The teams will be ranked based on total team Tonnage from 1st to last.

A second ranking will be give to the team’s ladies Tonnage from 1st to last.

Workout #2 – Tarpley carbine 2 Females

6 min AMRAP

2 Females will work as a team in a full sprint across the Grid. Though simple, this AMRAP will require solid strategy to be successful.  This ARMAP will involve 2 barbell movements, and 2 bodyweight movements

  • One athlete working at the time.
  • No minimum rep requirement.
  • Unlimited Substitutions

2 Men will work as a team in a full sprint across the Grid. Though simple, this AMRAP will require solid strategy to be successful.  This ARMAP will involve 2 barbell movements, and 2 bodyweight movements

8 min AMRAP

2 men & 2 Women

2 men and 2 women, will work together in this super fast event. This is another workout with an AMRAP format.

All team members are eligible for this workout. This workout will feature 8 different movements mixing between barbell, single armed weightlifting, bodyweight and gymnastic movements.

  • One athlete working at the time.
  • No minimum rep requirement.
  • Unlimited Substitutions
