My goal is to create art that steps outside the confines of religious symbolism into the realm of experience, in which a larger than life mystery can be felt regardless of the religious background of the viewer. My paintings are glimpses into my very spirit and soul. I want my paintings to move beyond me and speak life into the viewer. Although my paintings are still (motionless) in a literal sense, the message they speak radiates through time. In some of my paintings, the drop symbol symbolizes God’s cleansing tears and His presence poured out over all humanity. I believe that when God sees us and we see Him, we are loved and made new. My paintings are an invitation to experience healing, transformation, and a brief glimpse at the hope of eternal life.
