Passing of the Hat After the Show

Summer in Sanctuary is a solo show by performance poet/playwright/NPR Host Al Letson.  Letson chronicles his journey working at a summer camp at the Sanctuary on 8th Street. Funny, poignant, and ultimately inspiring, Summer in Sanctuary will take you into the heart of a community, and leave you with a better understanding of the world.

“Letson’s honesty makes it a show worth seeing. It is laugh-out-loud funny at times, intriguing and intellectual at others, but it ultimately communicates the profound truth that a little bit of love goes a long way.”       -Showbiz Weekly

Letson is the host
of WJCT's
State of the Re:Union, a public radio show aired on more than 320 stations across the country.
