Lookingglass Theatre, Blair Thomas and Manual Cinema, The New Colony & The Inconvenience and Lucky Plush Productions are featured in Exploring Media.
A one-night only showing in various performance venues within the Logan Center for the Arts; audiences will move from space to space to experience the three works-in-progress, and are invited to join the artists for food and drink in the courtyard immediately following. Building upon the success of The Moby Dick Project 2012, this year’s “Summer Cubed” series explores our engagements with media as we witness physical, sociological, communication, linguistic and psychological changes.
These companies are all sharing three mid-process works that explore these technologies and transformations from richly different artistic perspectives. This event takes place as a part of the Summer Inc. Residencies with Theater and Performance Studies at The University of Chicago. This project is supported by a grant from the Arts Council and The Logan Center.
