December 12, 2012- How to do business with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security: FEMA and How to do business with NYC Department of Citiwide Administrative Services 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Deployed to New York to provide business outreach opportunities for vendors seeking to do business with FEMA. The agencies mission is to support citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve capabilities to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards. In addtion, NYC Department of Citiwide Administrative Services will also be presenting. DCAS is responsible for purchasing a variety of goods and services for all city agencies. The agency oversees the facility and maintenance and renovations of 55 administrative buildings. They make it easier for NYC agencies to place their orders. This workshop will provide information on registration requirements and prodedures, target purchasing interests, website resources and current small business opportunities and programs.

Event Details

Each workshop will focus on learning the necessary steps on how to access and attain government contracting business opportunities within presenting agencies guidelines. 

Our goal is that all active workshop participants walk away with a better understanding of the various application and registration processes (i.e. requirements, supporting documentation, business finance etc.), how to avoid and overcome common mistakes and moreover,  how to access agency resources for future follow up.




Dates for the Suffolk County Fall Procurement Workshops are as follows:

  • November 28 - Doing business with GSA Public Building Services

  • December 05 - Capacity building by Skanska & Tishman

  • December 12 - How to do business with:

           U.S. Department of Homeland Security- FEMA

         NYC Department of Citiwide Administrative Services.
