In September, 2008 the Swedish NGO International Chemical Secretariat (ChemSec) launched the ground-breaking SIN (for Substitute It Now) List 1.0, the list of chemicals recommended for placement on the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern under REACH.  This ambitious project is proving influential with many REACH implementation stakeholders in Europe and abroad.

You are invited to join with EU and U.S. colleagues from non-profits, academia and government to:

  • Learn about the SIN List 1.0 and its methodology
  • Understand its role within the context of REACH implementation, and
  • Explore how we might leverage it to advance green chemistry and chemicals policy at the state and federal level
