Boston's best up-and-coming independent improv teams play in Studio 40 for a six month run. Ensembles of all improvised formats and experience levels are encouraged to audition. The mission of Studio 40 is to support the artistic and fan-base growth of a carefully curated selection of Boston indie teams.

Choose a 2-hour slot that works for your team. We'll follow up with a note telling you the exact time you'll be auditioning. You'll have 10 minutes to show us how you like to play. Give us a taste of the format you plan to explore in Studio 40 (shortform, monoscene, armando, AllForm, etc).

Auditions are held at ImprovBoston on Saturday, May 2 starting at 9:30 am and running through 5 pm. Once a slot is filled, the registration form will no longer be accessible.

To be eligible for Studio 40, you must have an experienced director/coach already committed to rehearse with you weekly, attend your shows, and send us monthly progress reports on your group's development. The director/coach may not be an active performing member of your ensemble. Make sure you have director/coach consent before submitting your audition form. We will confer with listed directors before casting.
