Students at Risk

Presented by: Shannon Garcia, Jose Manuel Villareal, Reginald Washington, and Narciso Iglesias

Mon Feb 3 @ 6pm in ARTS 240

As a follow up to the inspiring presentation by Father Boyle last year, this group of educators and intervention specialists will continue the conversation of gang and "At Risk" student intervention.   They are dedicated to ensuring that high school and middle school students are not thrown away through expulsion or
suspension. Rather they offer intervention and support for students who are deemed to be at risk. The presentation will focus on causes and interventions that are aimed at preparing students at risk to be emotionally literate. High School students from the intervention program will tell their stories of making it through the system.
