The Rockefeller Center is hosting this student dinner and discussion with Senator Judd Gregg on Monday, Sept. 17. Seating is limited, so do not hesitate if you want to take advantage of this exciting opportunity.

Registration closes on Saturday, Sept. 15 at midnight, so we can have a headcount for dinner. If you register, please show up – we don't want empty seats at the table with Senator Gregg.

The dinner follows a special Constitution Day Program by Senator Gregg,  on the topic of "The Role of the Senate," at 4:30 pm in Silsby 028.

Constitution Day, commemorating the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by 39 brave men. The former U.S. Senator from New Hampshire will discuss the role of the Senate and the coming fiscal crisis: how the United States Senate has evolved into the most likely forum under our constitutional structure for substantive bi-partisan action on the major issues of the day.

A special note about Senator Gregg: All three of his children are Dartmouth alums!

A leading voice for fiscal discipline, Senator Judd Gregg served three terms in the U.S. Senate, concluding his tenure there as the Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee. Senator Gregg continues to be a national leader on fiscal policy, a well-know budget expert, and a respected voice on health care, economic, and financial regulatory issues. He is currently co-chairing the Simpson-Bowles, plus “Fix the Debt” initiative with Erskine Bowles, Senator Alan Simpson (R-WY) and Governor Ed Rendell (PA), a bi-partisan effort to promote significant Congressional action to reduce the debt and the deficit.

Senator Gregg is a regular contributor on CNBC, co-hosting “Squawk Box” and “World Wide Exchange,” and a guest on numerous other shows such as “Kudlow” and “Squawk on the Street.” He writes a weekly column in “The Hill” newspaper in Washington, D.C. Senator Gregg often does speaking events across the country involving audiences that represent trade groups, professional organizations and symposiums.

The Senator is serving as a Distinguished Fellow at Dartmouth College, teaching, lecturing and counseling Dartmouth graduate and undergraduate students.

Prior to serving three terms in the U.S. Senate, he served as Governor of New Hampshire from 1989 to 1993 and as U.S. Representative (R-NH) from 1981 to 1989.

Senator Gregg is married to Kathleen MacLellan Gregg. The couple has three children, Molly, Sarah, and Joshua, all of whom graduated from Dartmouth College.
