Stucky Music Festival is a celebration of the abundance of talented Southern Kentucky musicians. We are not sure what is in the water here in Southern Kentucky but it sure grows talent. We want to put that talent together and camp at the same time!
Why a local music fest:
It builds community while providing a venue of with relaxed atmosphere, green practices, great food, and screaming fans.We want to bring together the diverse music community of Southern Kentucky. In the first year, the Festival will host approximately 26 bands in a two day camping music festival.
Concerts will begin on Friday at five p.m. of May 17, 2013 and resume on Saturday May 18, 2013 at eleven a.m.
In addition to musical performances the Stucky Music Festival will welcome a variety of vendors. It is a hard economic time and we would like to remain a low cost event that gives both musicians and local companies a place to promote themselves as well as vend their merchandise.
The Stucky vibe will be relaxed camping with good tunes, food, and dance. The event will build great friends and be memorable for all.
The Stucky Music Festival proceeds will be split amongst the following:
40% of proceeds will be donated to the Son Rhea Foundation
30% will be used to kick start the 2014 festival
30% will be split equally amongst the bands that have generously volunteered to play the 2013 festival.
I am a local Kentuckian volunteering to coordinate this event to add a little excitement in all of our lives! I am dedicating my spare time to make my world a little better. We need all forms of art and I would love to be a part of that.
