More than 100,000 people in New York’s Southern Tier have a disability. They are our friends, family members and neighbors.
AIM Independent Living Center’s annual STRIDES for Independence Walk promotes disability awareness and brings together people who share a common vision: An accessible community free of barriers to independent living.
In addition to a mile walk, the event features food (chicken BBQ), entertainment (the Sam Pallet Band) and informational vendors. It’s a great way to spend a fall day.
Proceeds from the event benefit AIM's programs and services.
