The second in the SEED series, offered by the Maine Coast Economic Alliance, in partnership with the Office of Senator Olympia Snowe, the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce and the Penobscot Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.
BELFAST – Business owners and employers are invited to an informational meeting at the Hutchinson Center on Wednesday, Sept. 21, to learn about help and advice available in the areas of recruitment, employee training, and business taxation.
The free program will run from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., and is sponsored by Our Town Belfast, the University of Maine's Hutchinson Center and the City of Belfast.
This is the second in an ongoing series of forums aimed at businesses and employers, called Strengthening Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Development (SEED.) The Sept. 21 program is called ‘Workforce Development & Training Programs; and Tax Compliance & Guidance.’
The speakers will be David Grima of the Maine Department of Labor, Jim McGowan of the Maine Quality Centers, Dennis Doiron of the Maine Revenue Services, and Shawn Savage of the Internal Revenue Service.
