Videology Midnights and Desert Island present ADULT ANIMATION MIDNIGHTS – a month-long series of cartoons that are definitely NOT for children!

Saturday, January 19th @ Midnight

1975 - directed by Ralph Bakshi – with Scatman Crothers, Barry White

The CITIZEN KANE of animated blaxploitation movies, STREET FIGHT takes an incendiary, no-holds-barred look at race relations in the 70s. Updating and subverting Disney’s SONG OF THE SOUTH, the story follows the salacious adventures of Brother Rabbit, Brother Bear and Preacher Fox as they escape the south and make a new home on the streets of Harlem. Religious con-men, racist cops and even the Mafia are all out to get them and no irreverent stone is left unturned in the process. Outrageous even by Bakshi’s usual standards, STREET FIGHT is an all out assault on prejudice, good taste and the status quo. Featuring a rare dramatic performance by Barry White!
