Strategies for Not Just Good…But Great Governance!
Presented by Audrey Grifel,Capacity Building Advisor; New York Council of Nonprofits

Offered as a part of the Southern Tier Capacity Building Program

Your board of directors understands and fulfills its legal and even ethical duties and responsibilities, but…is it a great board?  This session will examine ways for nonprofit boards to move beyond compliance and towards excellence.  In particular, we will look at conventions and strategies that help you attract, engage, and retain strong board members to provide the leadership needed for your organization to thrive.  Drawing from the experiences of other nonprofits we will discuss strategies that work, and together discover ways in which you might be able to tailor them for your organization.

  • Date: August 6th, 2014
  • Time: 9:30am to 1:00pm
  • Cost: Free to nonprofit directors, board and staff
