By who's definition do we establish our manhood? OUR SOCIETY IS CRUMBLING AROUND US... and we watch.
All that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to to nothing.
There is a lot of confusion about what it means to be a man these days. Some say a man is made by the job he holds, the car he drives, or the woman he's with; while others judge him by his steel-like emotions, and strong will. But there are qualities that matter so much more--qualities like faithfulness, integrity, leadership, and influence. These bring man peace, and make him strong.
Based on his book Stepping Up: A Call to Courageous Manhood, Dennis Rainey hosts this four-session video event. Featuring stories and insights from Christian leaders and pastors Mark Driscoll, Crawford Loritts, Matt Chandler and others, men will be challenged to:
* step up to the risks, responsibilities and rewards of authentic manhood;
* lead others with courage and compassion;
* build a life of vital faith;
* turn fear into bravery; and
* become a generational influencer.
We invite you to spend some time with other men who share your desire to live right, love well and lead with purpose. It will make all the difference.
Family Life Ministries has provided us with the needed materials to host the overnight adventure, open to all men in our community (over the age of 18). We invite you to attend this great getaway being held at Ludlow Falls Camp (2535 South SR48 Ludlow Falls, OH) on Friday evening September 13th thru Saturday around 1pm the 14th. The event event will open with registration beginning at 5pm and a dinner of pizza will follow. We will start the first session at 7, and finish out the evening with a chance for men to connect with other men around a bonfire, and refreshments. We invite you to stay the night at the camp in one of our dorms, a tent, or even your own camper if you choose (overnight accomodations are included in the registration cost). The following morning, we will serve a manly breakfast, and then begin the final sessions of our event.
The cost of the event is only $25 dollars, which includes the workbook, meals, and your stay.
Pre registration is required, and needs to be submitted no later than September 8th.
