Digital Distribution 101
What are the challenges filmmakers face in today's digital distribution space? Hear from Melanie Miller (Vice President of Gravitas Ventures) and Erick Opeka (Senior Vice President of Digital Distribution, Cinedigm) as they offer their insights on the state of digital distribution along with snapshots of their business models.

From traditional theatrical distribution to new hybrid models, discover the innovative techniques and strategies they used to successfully market and distribute their films.

You’ll hear from guests speaking about trending topics ranging from crowdsourcing to marketing social issue films. Past Steed Symposium participants include Rick Allen, CEO, SnagFilms; Janet Leahy, writer/producer, Mad Men; Ross Levinsohn, CEO, Guggenheim Digital Media; Todd Lieberman, producer, The Fighter; Jerry Zucker, producer, Fair Game; Jeff Skoll, founder and chairman of Participant Media. The Steed Symposium is funded by LMU alumnus Michael R. Steed, a member of the University’s Board of Trustees.

All SFTV events are OVERBOOKED to ensure seating capacity in the theater, therefore seating is not guaranteed based on RSVPs. Priority will be given to LMU students, followed by next RSVPs until the theater is full. Once the theater has reached capacity, we will no longer be able to admit guests, regardless of RSVP status.
