If you're working at a startup, there's a good chance your days and nights are filled with work. On the nights when you're not working, you may be networking. And through all of this, you forget to do a simple thing you learned in grade school gym class: exercise.
Startup Rock Climbing is for people interested in startups and rock climbing. It's not rocket science. But it's also for people interested in trying something new. People who want to get some exercise. People who want to network without walking up to strangers at a large event space. It's a helluva lot easier to meet people when you're dissecting a boulder problem.
If you're a beginner, don't worry. It's really easy to pick up, plus the rock climbing community is just as supportive as the startup community.
If you're a more advanced rock climber, there are other belay-certified attendees and tons of difficult routes to climb.
Lastly, if you're a Brooklyn Boulders member or have a punch pass, shoot me an email so I can add you to the list and get you your free drink.
*** Startup Rock Climbing is sponsored by Sheep Station, located on 4th Avenue and Douglass Street. Sheep Station will be providing a complimentary drink ticket to all attendees, plus happy hour prices all night. ***
When & Where
Startup Rock Climbing
Tim, Scott, and Jake are the organizers of Startup Rock Climbing. It's a bunch of startup people and young professionals in the city who get together to climb and learn something new. No formal networking, no business card exchange, focusing on having fun and building organic relationships.
