Steven Cox is the founder and CEO of TakeLessons.com, America’s leading music lessons company, and ServiceScout.com, the parent company of TakeLessons. Based in San Diego, CA, TakeLessons is a privately held company with instructors in over 2,800 cities across the USA. TakeLessons also offers turnkey music lessons to private schools, after-school programs, and corporate wellness facilities. Before TakeLessons, Steven served as Managing Partner of Reddito Partners, a privately held management consulting firm specializing in web management strategy, web operations, e-commerce, and business development. Key clients included Cisco, Club Med, and Brian Tracy International. Before Reddito, Steven served as Vice President of Strategic Development for CollegeClub.com, the 44th largest site on the Internet. Steven's specialty was to design and implement marketing, sales, and business operation initiatives. While at CollegeClub.com, Steven started the company's sales and business development department, opened up regional branch offices, and was responsible for the production of multi-million dollar business development deals. He was instrumental in helping the company grow from 22 employees to 300. In 2000, Student Advantage, a publicly traded company, acquired the company. Before this, Steven was a founding employee and National Business Development Director for PurchasePro.com (PPRO), a business-to-business e-commerce platform, and the fourth highest performing public stock offering of 1998. He was responsible for initiating B-2-B commerce between educational institutions, governmental agencies, and their suppliers. During the time Cox was there, the company grew from 8 employees to over 400. Steven graduated with honors and dual degrees in Finance and Human Communications from Eastern Kentucky University and now lives in San Diego, CA.
