Rene is Director, Future Technologies at Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, and will share how the team of Product Managers, Developers and Designers prepares Pearson for upcoming learner expectations by rapidly building prototypes using new and emerging technologies. Pearson will also launch the second round of "Catalyst for Education" (http://catalyst.pearson.com/), its startup incubator programme that identifies the most promising education startup companies that share Pearson’s commitment to improving people’s lives through learning, and help enable them to break through on a global scale. The Catalyst program aims to match startups with Pearson brands to deliver pilot programmes and offer access to Pearson resources and product experts, including the opportunity to work closely with a Pearson brand over the course of the program.

James is an Agile Project Manger and ScrumMaster with over fifteen years experience of implementing collaboration platforms and the associated cultural change into Investment Banks, Government Agencies and the UN. He is interested in assisting aspiring Oxford entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and founders. His current research is focused on the process of bringing Technical innovation to production, managing the talent and funding to reach commercial viability.
