1    Join us November 12th as we welcome Charles Vogt, Charles is President and Chief Executive Officer of GENBAND. A 25-year veteran of the information technology and communications industry, he has spent nearly his entire career building businesses which have experienced unprecedented organic and inorganic growth. Today GENBAND is a market-share leader in VoIP and multimedia infrastructure equipment as well as hosted multimedia cloud services. GENBAND has over 600 customers, spanning 80 countries with more than 250 million IP ports deployed. Revenue has grown from five million in 2004 to more than seven hundred million in 2011. Vogt’s vision and unique go-to-market strategy has guided the company through several transformation acquisitions, including Nortel’s IP assets, Tekelec’s IP assets, NextPoint Networks and Cedar Point Networks. Prior to joining GENBAND, Vogt was instrumental in the operational and financial growth of five standard-setting technology companies (ADTRAN, Ascend Communications, Accelerated Networks, Santera and Taqua) that either became public companies or were acquired. Vogt has received numerous awards for his leadership and corporate growth: Global Telecoms Business Magazine’s "100 Most Powerful People", Dallas MTBC "Corporate CEO of the Year", INC 500 Fastest-Growing Private Companies”, Ernst & Young’s "Entrepreneur of the Year", Saint Louis University's "Hall of Fame" and Affton High School’s “Hall of Fame”. In addition, Vogt has been recognized for his philanthropic efforts in the corporate, educational and athletic sectors. Vogt is currently Chairman of the Board of Kentrox and serves on the Board of Directors of Netas and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). Vogt is also an active member of the Federal Communications Commission Advisory Council and Young Presidents Organization. Vogt holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Saint Louis University, where he also played Division I NCAA baseball. He is married and has three children.
