Start Here Open House: RatePoint
Monday, March 29, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (EDT)
Founded in 2006, RatePoint, Inc., provides small to medium-sized businesses with an easy and affordable web-based communication solution to build successful, lasting customer relationships, increase consumer confidence and manage their online reputation. With RatePoint, businesses can harness the power of credible customer feedback and automatically promote it online to leverage customer reviews into a sales, marketing and customer service asset.
The co-founders of RatePoint are no strangers to business success. In 2001, they launched GeoTrust, the world's second largest provider of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates. GeoTrust secured over 30 percent of the world's online transactions, and gave businesses a way to let consumers know they were safe online.
SSL answered the question, "Is this site secure?” But it didn't answer one of the primary concerns of consumers: "Is this a quality, trusted business?" RatePoint’s founders decided if they had a chance to start another company, they would answer that question. When VeriSign acquired GeoTrust in September 2006, RatePoint was founded.
RatePoint is headquartered in Needham, Mass., and is privately held, with funding from Prism VentureWorks, .406 Ventures and Castile Ventures.
Networking starts at 6:00 PM
RatePoint Co-founder and CEO, Neal Creighton will provide comments and a product demonstration at 6:30 PM
