Relive the original STAR WARS trilogy in its unaltered theatrical version, or experience it for the first time! We'll be combining the galaxy far, far away with Mexican food in a mashup of "Star Wars Day" and Cinco de Mayo. Children are welcome, but there'll be nothing to do but watch Star Wars for six hours into the night, so parents please use discretion and hire a sitter if necessary.
On Saturday May 3rd we're having a Mexican food potluck starting at 4:30 p.m. At 5:40 p.m. we're having a triple-feature screening of STAR WARS (1977), THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) and RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983) in their original versions. There will be breaks and prize giveaways between screenings.
The location is the Corporate Alliance of Southern Utah office, located at 1487 S. Silicon Way Ste. A-7 in Saint George. To get there from the I-15, get off on the Dixie Drive exit and head west for 1.3 miles. The office will be on your left, part of a building that also has Hairitage Hair Academy and Bella Marie's Pizzeria. There's ground level and underground parking.
The venue has tables and comfortable seating for up to 80 people, as well as a first-rate media center with two large screens and surround sound. Trust me, it's an ideal location to watch STAR WARS.
If you don't want to prepare anything, you can pick up food from a local restaurant or bring plates, cups, napkins, or plastic utensils. If you want to bring Mexican sodas, that'd be cool too. Just let me know.
Copyright restrictions prohibit a public screening, so this is technically a private party. Invited friends (that's you!), and guests of invited friends, are welcome. Also, please note that because this is a private, family-friendly event, smoking, drinking, and foul language are not welcome.

Jonathan Decker is a licensed marriage and family therapist practicing privately in Saint George, Utah. Jonathan has a master's degree in marriage and family therapy and a bachelor's degree in clinical psychology.
Before entering into private practice Jonathan worked as an adult therapist at Southwest Behavioral Health and as a counselor and case manager with at-risk teens in a variety of settings. Jonathan is a certified facilitator of the singles' class "How to Avoid Falling in Love with a Jerk or Jerkette." In college Jonathan spent two years as a writer and performer with the popular humor group Divine Comedy. He is married with three children.
