All university administrative and union (1205 and 32B/J) staff are invited to the first New School Staff Development Day on March 25th. The day will include workshops, giveaways, games, and more, giving us all an opportunity to learn new skills and interact with our co-workers from throughout The New School. Morning coffee, lunch, and snacks will be served.
The day features two separate workshop periods covering 25 different topics with Professional Development and Personal Growth themes, led by our peers and by local organizations. You can choose to learn more about technology, wellness, race and culture in the workplace, or professional networking, or even pick up a new hobby. For a list of workshop descriptions, please visit: http://www.newschool.edu/hr/about/staff-development-day
We need staff volunteers to assist with check-in, ushering participants throughout the day, and answering questions. If you would like to help, please e-mail Alex Carnes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This event is inspired by the University Service Initiative and sponsored by Human Resources with support and participation from staff throughout the university. For more information, call co-chairs Ilana Levitt (x3842) or Diane Yee (x3801).
All events are in accessible locations. Anyone needing accommodations or who has access concerns should contact email@example.com by Friday, March 14, 2014.
