TOPIC -  The Blue Zones Way

Get ready to change your life!  Living a healthy, active life well into your 90s and possibly your 100s may be easier than you think.  Based on Dan Buettner’s New York Times Bestseller “Blue Zones – Lessons for Living Longer From the People Who’ve Lived the Longest”, Dr. Kevin McCabe will present the nine powerful yet simple lessons that can put you on the path to living longer and better  - not through pills, surgery or medications but through the food you eat, the company you keep and your perspectives on life.  These easily followed lessons are no longer the secrets of people a world away.  You too can live and thrive the blue zones way!

Follow this link for a video introduction of the session provided by Dr. McCabe.

Dr. Kevin McCabe joined SC Johnson as the Executive Director - Occupational Health & Wellness in 1999 after spending over 16 years in private practice as a board certified physician in both internal and pulmonary medicine.

Since joining SC Johnson, Dr. McCabe has focused his keen interest in wellness and preventive medicine toward the goal of educating SC Johnson employees worldwide about lifestyle changes they can make to help live longer and healthier lives.  In addition, as a member of the SC Johnson benefits planning team, he lends his medical expertise to all aspects of health care and benefits planning.

Dr. McCabe serves on the board of directors of the Midwest Business Group on Health, is a member of the Standards Committee for the National Committee for Quality Assurance, serves on the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-Southeast Wisconsin Board and is a member of the Medical Directors’ Forum.  He is also a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American College of Preventive Medicine, International Society of Travel Medicine, and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Dr. McCabe graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine where he held a two year fellowship in pulmonary medicine.  He and his wife have three children, three grandchildren, a dog,  and have lived in Racine for over 20 years.
